    About Louise

    Hi, I’m Louise Lindsay the passionate founder of Gumnut Music and the designer of our award-winning early years curriculum and business!

    For just shy of two decades, I’ve been helping children, families, and educators discover the joy and power of music-making in the early years.

    I started Gumnut Music back in 2018 with literally ONE family in the room with me. Today, I serve hundreds of families every week and have impacted thousands through both in-person programs and online resources. I partner with local early learning centres, community houses, and toy libraries, and I regularly perform at council events. My curriculum has won multiple awards for innovation in music education, including the title of Best National Activity for Parent and Child.

    But here’s the truth: I didn’t build this business overnight. I made the mistakes, worked the long nights, and burnt myself out. I even fell pregnant within my first year of launching Gumnut Music, and I’ve literally built this business with babes on my hips – while I sang!

    That’s why I’m passionate about showing other educators how to skip the trial-and-error and step straight into a business that gives them both income and freedom. I want to collapse my 10 years of experience so you too can enjoy the rewards of a family-first, thriving business.

    Today, I mentor educators across Australia (and internationally) to create sustainable, family-first businesses using music as the bridge for connection, community, and impact. And now, I’m here to help you do the same.
